I have had many news assignments but there are two that really stand out. In 1998 I was driving next to Planet Hollywood in the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town when it was bombed. The other is capturing Hansie Cronje bursting into tears after
the conclusion of the 2000 King Commission into cricket match fixing. There were numerous other photographers at the hearing, but I was at the right place at the right time. I subsequently won the People in the News category of the 2001 Fuji Press Awards with this picture. |
